Christmas Banquet - 2018

On December 13th, the STS Superannuated Teachers,’ spouses and friends came together at the Elmwood Golf Course Restaurant for the Christmas Banquet. The meal was a delicious entrée of roasted turkey served with all the trimmings and ending with a delectable dessert of Death by chocolate. Leone Eckert said the Grace which then started the tables in numerical order. The banquet was Buffet style.

The Prairie Spirit Chamber Singers entertained the group with their inspired singing of Christmas songs and Carols. The Chamber Singers’ performance was appreciated and enjoyed by all. The group was captivated and encouraged to join in with the singing of the traditional Christmas Carols.

The Chapter Award was given to Gail Wesolowski for her dedication and commitment to her STS Chapter and her community. She had attended the STS Annual Meetings in Saskatoon, she participated in the Presidents’ Meetings on behalf of the President, she was and is a role model and leader in her community as she participates and volunteers her time and expertise. We congratulate Gail on her outstanding accomplishments!

The door prizes were four lovely Christmas cacti. The winners were Leone Eckert, Gaylene Turner, Shirley Dyck, and Leona Peters.

The evening came to a close with President Joyce Hoffman wishing everyone a Wonderful and Happy Christmas Season!
